Labor Day Weekend

Sydney had a busy Labor Day weekend, even though she was teething pretty bad and her nose was running constantly. Saturday afternoon we met Jen and Trey at Sunset Fest. Trey sat nicely with Jen and watched the animal show. Sydney ran around the beer garden in every direction she could go. Sydney rode on two rides - the big slide and a dragon-shaped tilt-a-whirl. I was so proud of her - we spun around in circles and she didn't get sick. Our little roller-coaster-rider-in-training did well. Jen took some pictures for us.

Sunday afternoon Bridget and Paul brought the boys over for lunch. Between Sydney's nap and the boys' naps, they had a good time playing. I tried to get a picture of all three of them, but Sydney and Jack weren't interested in looking at the camera (they were more interested in watching each other). Gavin was kind enough to look at the camera for a couple pictures.

Monday afternoon I took Sydney to her Aunt Diane's house to go swimming. Grandma Barb and Grandpa Glenn met us there and we spent the unofficial last day of summer in the pool. Sydney discovered the gate that enclosed the baby pool and that was more fun for her than the pool was. She must have opened and closed that gate for half an hour. Grandma and I finally got her into the baby pool and she took a little boy's tube. His mom was nice enough to inflate another one for Sydney to use.

We received a package in the mail from Ryan, Ken and KJ on Tuesday. Sydney held up the jumper and modeled it for us. She even let me put the bow in her hair for a few minutes. Fiona was very excited by the box it came in. Thanks Ryan, Ken and KJ!
