We introduced Sydney's backpack leash to her a week ago in preparation of her first baseball game, which was supposed to be this afternoon. We had tickets to see the White Sox play, but due to the two days of continuous rain that we've had (and it looks like another day of rain tomorrow), the game was postponed. Until tomorrow, when it's still going to be raining. Sydney may have to wait until next season to see her first game.
Due to some indecisiveness as to whether or not we were going to drive downtown, we spent more time in the car than we had planned and Sydney's nap schedule was a mess today. She slept for about an hour this morning since she woke up so early, and then took only a 20-minute power nap this afternoon. We decided to make use of our free afternoon and did some shopping at Wal-Mart. Sydney was thrilled that we let her walk around the store. Normally I'm running errands on my own and I don't let her out of the cart. But Daddy was along today to wrangle the peanut, so she was allowed to do her own shopping today.
Sydney made it through the furniture section without getting side-tracked, but the allure of the toy aisle was just too tempting.
Sydney wore her wine shirt from Auntie Norma for the last time tonight. It's a size small that fit her last summer, and surprisingly enough fit her this summer, but it's getting a little tight and it's going to be retired with the rest of the too-small clothes.
