Winter Wonderland

Monday morning we woke up to about 4 inches of snow on the ground. After breakfast Sydney discovered it looked different outside and crawled up on the couch to take a better look. She's trying to say snow, but it keeps coming out sounding like nose. But she says "pretty" loud and clear.

Tonight the Christmas gifts I ordered on Cyber Monday started arriving. Sydney said "box" when I brought it in the door, and she immediately tried to open it. She didn't care all all what was inside of it. She just wanted to be in it with her toys. And then she wanted to close herself in it.

It snowed all afternoon today. Daddy went out to shovel after dinner and I brought Sydney outside to help. She was so excited to put on her snow pants. She really liked her boots too, especially when she discovered they lit up when she walks.

Daddy bought Sydney her own little shovel (she loves mops and brooms, so we thought a shovel would be fun for her too). She wasn't able to hold it with her mittens on, so off came the mittens. She shouted "no!" at me every time I tried to put them back on. So she shoveled mitten-less.

When we came back in the house I took Sydney's boots off her and she carried them to the rug by the front door where the shoes always are. She's such a helpful girl.
