3rd of July

Sydney got a baby doll for her birthday that moves and coos and says "mama." Fiona claimed it as her baby (just as she claimed Sydney) and is guarding the doll on the coffee table. As a thank you, Sydney gives Fi a kiss.

Daddy terrified us this morning by taking a chainsaw to a tree branch (it grew big enough that it's interfering with our satellite signal). I have no pictures of that because my hand was on the phone, ready to dial 911 if necessary. But the branch came down without a problem and Sydney was eager to help Daddy move the branch back to our fire pit.

Mush!

Sydney helps pick up the smaller branches. She wouldn't let us move the cart until she was satisfied that the area was clean.

We went to a barbecue at Grandma Barb and Grandpa Glenn's house this afternoon. We went next door to visit the neighbor, who was out watering flowers. I caught Sydney trying to drink the water that was draining out of the flower pot.

Sydney loves it when Mommy swings with her.

Aunt Diane gives Sydney a little love.

All-American girl.

My shirt says "Kiss me" so Sydney did.

Daddy took a little nap. Sydney gave him a little cuddle.

Aunt Diane pushes Sydney high!

Sydney saw her first fireworks show tonight. We had to wait a little while for them to start, so we entertained her by running around a parking lot and petting people's dogs.

Still waiting for fireworks to begin...

Sydney was very excited about seeing fireworks...until they started. This is how she sat through the entire show. She was very happy when it was time to go home.
